In this workshop, you will strengthen the legs, hips, and core as well as the larger muscles in the upper body that move, balance, and support the body weight. With enhanced strength and flexibility in the larger muscles we can sustain strong bones, and enhance strength and stability, in every stage of life. We will learn to:
• Align the hips and knees while standing.
• Carry weight in the upper and/or lower body.
• Balance weight in the legs and core.
• Transition in and out of standing postures.
• Utilize elements of Suryanamaskar (Sun Salutation) to learn
how to balance and shift body weight during Hatha Yoga transitions.
• Learn and practice your Sun Salutation with precision, balance, and focus.
